Program Educational Objectives

The graduates of BSCE program must be:

  1. competent and skillful in planning, design, construction management and maintenance of civil engineering works; and able to provide appropriate analysis and technical solutions to complex engineering problems
  2. effective in managing project and people in multidisciplinary environment; and recognized in social, business and engineering environment as successful, responsible and ethical professionals in the practice of civil engineering profession
  3.  engaged in state-of-the-art design, research and life-long learning
  4.  effective leader or member of the community capable of effecting change whenever and wherever change is  necessary in the pursuit of peace, justice and sustainable development.

Program Outcomes  

By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall be able to:
a. apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve complex civil engineering problems;
b. design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data;
c. design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints in accordance with standards
d. function in multidisciplinary teams and multi-cultural teams;
e. identify, formulate, and solve complex civil engineering problems;
f. understand of professional and ethical responsibility;
g. communicate effectively civil engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large;
h. understand the impact of engineering solution in a global, economic, environmental and societal context;
i. recognize of the need for, and ability to engage in life-long learning;
j. know contemporary issues;
k. use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice;
l. know and understand engineering and management principles as member and
leader of a team and to manage projects  in multidisciplinary environment;
m. understand at least one specialized field of civil engineering practice;
n. demonstrate maturity of being Christian engineers with the Gospel values of leadership, integrity, responsibility and compassion.
o. respond to the needs of the larger community through their active involvement;
